Here are a few Scent Marketing applications, selected from E²AROMA’s portfolio of collaborations with renowned brands from both Greece and abroad.
HARRODS Department Stores
The Need
It all started back in 2014. Then, the world-renowned Harrods of London commissioned E²Aroma to scent selected parts of the department store.
The original scent marketing solution implemented by E²Aroma proved to be so successful that, in the years that followed, always focusing on Scent Marketing, Harrods trusted E²Aroma with various Scent Marketing projects.
Design & Implementation
Among the highlights, the special Christmas scent that accompanied the Harrods window displays on Brompton Road, offered an unforgettable festive experience.
Or the scenting of select departments with a spring flower fragrance, as part of “Pop Up Flowers”, a promotion designed to provide a multi-sensory experience to the visitors / customers of the department store.
And more recently, during the Christmas holiday season of 2018, E²Aroma was responsible for the delicious Gingerbread fragrance of “Harrods Christmas Grotto”! In this way, the sense of smell played a key role in creating a fascinating experience for the Department store’s many visitors.

Following on our long and successful partnership with Harrods, E²Aroma was also commissioned to add fragrance, for a whole year, to the Women’s Swimwear Department. A specially designed Coconut fragrance was chosen to evoke carefree summer feelings and images of exotic destinations to the minds and imagination of the department’s shoppers and visitors.
PUBLIC Stores
The Need
46 Public stores in Greece and another 3 in Cyprus make up the largest Greek retail chain of technology products, entertainment and books. In the context of novelty, modernity and offering a series of unique experiences to its clients, Public Stores contacted E²Aroma for the design of a tailor-made and exclusive Public Stores Scent Identity.
Design & Implementation
E²Aroma, after studying the Public marketing concept and needs, designed the exclusive “Public Stores” scent identity, which is diffused in all the chain’s stores, adding an extra dimension to the rich multi-sensory experience of consumers and visitors.

Following the successful implementation of the Public Stores scent identity, E²Aroma was entrusted with the design and implementation of a “Christmas” and a “Summer” scents, which are seasonally diffused in all the chain’s stores in both Greece and Cyprus.
LE BRISTOL PARIS
The Need
The world renowned Le Bristol Paris, the flagship of the luxury hotel chain Oetker Collection from 1925 to the present, wanted to offer its demanding customers yet another unforgettable, Parisian experience. A unique, exclusive scent identity was required, and to this end, the management of Le Bristol Paris contacted E²Aroma.
The Design
E²Aroma‘s fragrance team focused on the luxury hotel’s needs, its rich decoration, its exquisite “à la française” gardens and took into consideration the famous hotel’s Michelin stars. As a result, we designed and developed the tailor made and exclusive “Le Bristol Paris” scent identity, which adds to the unique experience of the hotel’s guests.
Implementation
After studying the technical specs and infrastructure of the hotel, E²Aroma‘s technical team installed digitally programmed diffusion devices to the central air conditioning network. The result: the hotel’s public areas, indoor pool facilities, and all conference rooms are discreetly flooded with the unique Le Bristol Paris scent identity, providing a rich multi-sensory experience.

Following the successful application of the hotel’s fragrance identity, E²Aroma continued with the design and production of a series of private label fragrance products, such as scented candles and room spray, with the signature “Le Bristol Paris“.
House Market IKEA
The Need
House Market IKEA contacted E²Aroma wanting to strengthen the relationship with its customers and improve their mood during their visit at the stores. We agreed on the creation and diffusion of a tailor made, exclusive scent identity that would cause an immediate associative connection with the brand IKEA and a positive experience for the visitors and customers every time they visit the store.
Design
E²Aroma perfumers’ team, after carefully studying the philosophy, profile, logo colors and many other features, designed the tailor made “IKEA” scent identity, that is center around the aura of a fresh “home sweet home” atmosphere. Furthermore, a tender perfume called “Baby Powder” was designed for the Kids Playground.
Implementation
Broad scale implementation was used, with devices attached to the central air conditioning/ventilation systems, as well as stand-alone diffusion devices, which are digitally controlled and programmed. The scent identity of IKEA was implemented in stores located throughout Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria.
GOLDEN HALL
The Need
Golden Hall entrusted E²Aroma with the design and creation of the mall’s exclusive scent identity. The main characteristics requested were a delicate and fine scent, which would blend harmoniously with the architectural design and elegant aesthetics of the shopping center, creating a sense of pleasant stay for the visitors of the mall.
Design
Visitors and customers of the center were given a questionnaire that was especially designed by consumer behavior researchers and psychology experts, and sampled a series of tailor-made aromas, designed and developed by E²Aroma’s perfumers’ team. Analysis of the research data resulted in the final selection of Golden Hall’s scent identity.
Implementation
The selected scent identity with the name “Golden” is now being diffused through the central ventilation and air conditioning system of the shopping center. Top technology digital diffusers were installed by E²Aroma, achieving completely homogeneous dispersion and stable levels of saturation.
JACOBS Coffee
The Need
To help the advertising campaign of the Jacobs Douwe Egberts GR company, for JACOBS coffee “make an impact…”
Design
In addition to an extensive TV campaign, special promo activities were designed targeting the Athens Metro passengers, through advertising banners inside the metro train wagons. For maximum effect, E²Aroma also created and dispersed within the train a rich, attractive aroma of a freshly roasted Jacobs coffee.
Implementation
For the first time in Greece, E²Aroma installed innovative diffusers inside the metro train. The wagons were flooded with this tailor-made aroma of freshly roasted Jacobs coffee. As one passenger, who was waiting at the dock, said: “Every time the wagon doors open, it’s like a whole coffee shop is going through the station …“.
The promotion was realized in collaboration with InterBus SA.
The advertising campaign won a gold award at the Ermis Awards.
IASO MATERNITY AND PEDIATRICS HOSPITAL
The Need
IASO Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital, one of the most contemporary hospitals in Greece, offers the highest-level medical services, in a modern, aesthetically pleasing environment. Wanting to further improve the conditions of hospitalization and the sense of hospitality, IASO decided to commission E²Aroma to design an easily recognizable fragrance that creates a sense of familiarity with the space.
Design
E²Aroma’s perfumers’ team, designed and developed exclusive scent identity proposals, having as its main focus the creation of a feeling of pleasant stay and familiarity for both the patients and visitors of the clinic. After extended sampling of our proposals, the “IASO Maternity and Pediatrics” scent identity was chosen.
Implementation
IASO’s scent identity is currently diffused in all public areas of both the Maternity and Pediatrics Clinics, with specially designed E²Aroma’s digital devices.
DIVANI Collection Hotels
The Need
E²Aroma was asked to create the exclusive scent Iidentity for the Divani Caravel, Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso and Divani Apollon Suites hotels. A scent identity that enhances the overall experience of the hotels’ guests, along with the architecture, the luxurious settings and the exceptional service.
Design
E²Aroma designed and proposed different ideas for the exclusive “Divani Collection Hotels” scent identity. The careful sampling and selection process resulted in the new Divani Collection Hotels fragrance and scent identity. Its name: “Divani Hotels”!
Implementation
E²Aroma studied the existing air handling units and installed special designed diffusion devices. Stand-alone devices are used as well. The wonderful scent identity of the hotels is already diffused in all public areas.
VOLVO Car Hellas
The Need
Volvo, having as its core marketing and communications concept the moto “A New Beginning”, contacted E²Aroma for the design of a scent identity, in order to highlight the brand’s new character: a premium brand associated with confidence that is derived from values such as quality, safety and reliability.
The Design
According to VOLVO Car Hellas, the new scent identity had to bring to mind the freshness and coolness of nature, with hints of Scandinavian flora, especially birch and pine. With these parameters in mind, the E²Aroma perfumers’ team got the job done and designed the new, exclusive VOLVO’s scent identity.
Implementation
Diffusion devices were installed by E²Aroma’s technical department to all Volvo Car Hellas showrooms, creating a mood of relaxation and an aura of hospitality, while helping to ensure that every visit there became a rewarding, multi-sensory experience.
NAMMOS Restaurant by the Sea
The Need
NAMMOS, probably the most famous restaurant in Mykonos, with an unmatched quality of service and delicacies, wanted to enhance the experience of its customers. “We want our customers to feel completely relaxed in Nammos. To have an unforgettable experience from the moment they step on the entrance deck, an experience reminiscent of a summer breeze and the Aegean Sea aroma“, said the owners of NAMMOS.
The Design
E²Aroma’s perfumers’ team, designed the tailor made and exclusive “Nammos scent identity”, inspired by the sea breeze of Cyclades, with strong hints of a wet sand aroma and suggesting memories of comfort and luxury.
Implementation
E²Aroma installed programmable digital diffusion devices, both indoors and in the open spaces of the restaurant, flooding the superb Nammos’s scent identity all the way to the sea shore.
ESTEE LAUDER Hellas “Modern Muse”
The need
On the occasion of launching their new collection of perfumes, Modern Muse Le Rouge Gloss and Nuit, Estée Lauder Hellas teamed with E²Aroma. The goal was to advertise and communicate the new collection of perfumes in an innovative way, to the customers of ATTICA department stores in Athens, during the Christmas holiday season of 2016.
Design & Implementation
Estée Lauder Hellas dressed the doors and interior of the elevators with stylish promo printings, while E²Aroma installed specially designed diffusion devices (not visible to passengers), equipped with a wireless “Try-me” button, which flooded the elevator cabins with the aromas of the new collection of perfumes.
Rodos Palace
The need
Rodos Palace, one of the most beautiful and luxurious 5-star hotels on the island of the Knights, aspires to provide its guests with exceptional quality in services and accommodation. To this end, the hotel’s management contacted E²Aroma to design the exclusive scent identity of the hotel.
Design
E²Aroma‘s perfumers’ team, while keeping in mind the uniqueness of the hotel, the idyllic location where it is built, its gardens and the surrounding Aegean Sea, designed and developed a scent identity that adds a unique, aromatic hint to the staying experience of its guests.
Implementation
E²Aroma‘s technical department studied the needs and infrastructure of the hotel and installed digitally programmed diffusion devices in the central air-conditioning / ventilation system, thus flooding the hotel’s public areas and all conference rooms with the exclusive “Rodos Palace” scent identity, offering a rich multi-sensory experience to visitors and residents alike.
